PSEG utility pole damaged in fire truck accident in Caldwell - PSEG expects power outages during replacement today

PSEG is sending out a crew to Personette Street in Caldwell to take down and the replace a utility pole that was damaged and broken during an accident today involving a fire engine from Caldwell.

PSEG reports a crew will be on the scene today. Once they arrive, they must safely remove the damaged pole. Then, they must put up a new on, which will most likely mean power will be out for a few hours to about 25 local residents.

Accidents happen to everyone at one time or another, and this very busy professional all volunteer fire department in Caldwell was answering an alarm. These volunteers should be commended for their work, which they do free of charge in very dangerous conditions time and time again.

This was an accident with no injuries.
