This week, The Arc of Essex County was awarded a series of grants totaling $22,000 to support the agency’s seven-week Camp Hope summer program.
Generously provided by the Lillian Schenck Foundation and the Township of Irvington CDBG program, the funding will be used for camp fee assistance and transportation to the East Hanover facility.
The camp is a mainstay for people with special needs, where there is swimming, camp activities and socialization in an upbeat, camp setting.
