The students, ages 7 to 10 years old, attended the weeklong program thanks to a grant from the Give the Kids Hope Foundation, Inc. The 40 students learned how animals adapted to their habitats, participated in a scavenger hunt to become familiar with the zoo, and competed in an "Animals Olympics" to see how humans compare with animals.
