Lifelong Montclair is an initiative funded by the Partners for Health Foundation in collaboration with the Montclair Department of Health & Human Services. It is an "Aging in Place" program launched in 2014 with the goal of transforming Montclair from a good place to live into a great place to grow older. The program is designed to build upon existing community assets such as public transportation, pedestrian safety, parking, housing, activities for seniors, and others.

The mission of the New Jersey Travel Independence Program (NJTIP @ Rutgers) is to increase the independence and self-sufficiency of people with disabilities, older adults and others by empowering them to use the public transit system safely and independently.
