Montclair, NJ – January 30 - The Montclair High School crew team will host its eighth annual silent auction and tricky tray at Montclair High School in the Ninth Grade Academy Annex on Friday, February 8th from 6:30-9pm. Tickets are $5. More than 35 items will be up for silent auction, including a luxury South Beach condo, Devils tickets, Whoopi Goldberg NJPAC tickets, a private wine tasting for 10, Broadway show tickets and VIP tickets to The Colbert Report, ABC’s The Chew and The Wendy Williams Show. In addition, parents, friends and residents will be able to purchase tickets for more than 85 raffle baskets on display, with items that include cooking classes, Bobbi Brown cosmetics, tickets to MOMA, the Anderson Cooper Show and Katie Couric Show, as well as BEATS headphones, spa services, DFIT, 360 Spin, yoga and Pilates classes.

The team hopes to raise more than $35,000 to purchase a sleek, high performance Hudson 8 boat designed for speed, comfort and stability. The crew team has been steadily growing in popularity at Montclair High, with a record number of freshmen trying out for the team this year, and would like to add to its fleet.

"Our team has almost doubled in size in four years, so to ensure the continued success of the team and to accommodate as many high school athletes as we can, we need to continue to expand our fleet of boats,” said Head Coach Jeremy Michalitsianos. “The Hudson eight will mean we can boat four eights at races this year. Hudson is one of the premier boat manufacturers in the world, and we pride ourselves in only choosing equipment that we can be sure will be used by many generations of Montclair High school rowers.”
