MUSIC, FOOD, GIVEAWAYS AND MORE AS TEAMS OF PASSAIC COUNTY FIREFIGHTERS FACE OFF IN BBQ CHALLENGE AT FAIRWAY MARKET IN WOODLAND PARK ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 24, 2014 AT NOON
New Jersey’s Bravest will compete in Fairway’s Firefighters Food Face-Off, a grilling “throw down” that will pit firefighters from West Paterson, Totowa, Little Falls, Wayne and Hawthorne against one another to determine whose barbecue is best at 12 noon on Sunday, August 24 at the Woodland Park store – 1510 US 46 West, Woodland Park, NJ 07242 (Rain or Shine).
A panel of judges, which includes Keith Kazmark, Mayor of Woodland Park; Diane Lilli, founder of the Jersey Tomato Press and Under the Apron; Terry Krongold, writer for JerseyBites.com and founder of The Cook’s Tour; and Rebecca Martin, Fairway Market’s Director of Catering, will determine the winner by sampling burgers, ribs, and chicken. Music, face painting, giveaways and free food for the public – a great family day!

This fierce competition will include four fire departments: West Paterson FD; Little Falls FD; Wayne FD, Passaic FD and Hawthorne FD.
