James Caldwell High School Students Earn Spot in North Jersey Area Symphonic Band

Two students from James Caldwell High School (JCHS), West Caldwell, auditioned, qualified and performed with the North Jersey Area Symphonic Band (NJASB) for 2015, which performed on Sunday, January 18, and Monday, January 19, at Mount Olive High School, N.J. Junior Alice Kong and freshman Mina Yi auditioned in December 2014 for the honor, earning spots in the Symphonic Band for clarinet and flute respectively. Students from forty schools in northern N.J. auditioned with only nine clarinetists and four flutists earning a spot in the prestigious band conducted this year by Dr. Brian McLaughlin of West Milford High School, N.J.
