Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey again offers consumers health insurance at the mall

New Jersey consumers looking to buy health insurance during the 2015-16 open enrollment period will, once again, have the convenience of shopping at a mall. Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ), for the second consecutive year, has opened kiosk locations – staffed with bilingual agents and offering one-on-one assistance -- at four regional shopping malls across the state.

“Horizon is committed to meeting with consumers in the communities where they live and helping them find a policy that fits their budget and their health care needs,” said Michael J. Considine, vice president of Consumer and Small Group markets.

Considine noted that during the previous enrollment period, Horizon representatives at mall locations assisted hundreds of consumers with making informed decisions on health coverage. “With so many options and complexities in the health insurance enrollment process, Horizon understands the importance of making the purchase experience convenient and personalized to the consumer,” Considine added.

Horizon BCBSNJ kiosks will be in following mall locations from November 1 through the end of the Open Enrollment period on January 31:

• Woodbridge Center -- 250 Woodbridge Center Drive, Woodbridge, NJ.

• Cherry Hill Mall -- 2000 Route 38, Cherry Hill, NJ.

• Newport Center Mall -- 30 Mall Drive West, Jersey City, NJ.

• Willowbrook Mall -- 1400 Willowbrook Mall Rd. Wayne, NJ.

The mall kiosks feature partitioned, semi-private spaces where consumers can meet with Horizon BCBSNJ agents to ask questions about health coverage, review their eligibility for financial assistance, and receive help with selecting a policy. Horizon BCBSNJ agents can also assist consumers determine their eligibility for financial assistance through the Federally Facilitated Marketplace (Marketplace).

Horizon BCBSNJ is offering nine competitively priced plans on the Marketplace, including five new OMNIA Health Plans for 2016. The new OMNIA Health Plans offer significantly lower premiums for access to the largest network in New Jersey as well as the option to save more money on out-of-pocket costs when seeking care at certain doctors and hospitals. There are no referrals necessary with OMNIA Health Plans and dozens of wellness benefits.

Consumers shopping for a Medicare Advantage product may also be assisted with information or a purchase between now and the end of the Medicare Advantage enrollment period for 2016 coverage – December 7.
