This thank you letter, with more allegations of wrongdoing my Post Office management, reached my desk last night.
To all of the Post Office workers and management: it's time to make your work life better, and to improve your conditions.
Management: do you want the Post Office to survive? No business can survive and be profitable in the midst of a war of hate and abuse. There have been too many allegations for me to believe it is all fabricated. From coast to coast there seems to be a culture of abuse of Post Office workers.
I am sending an S.O.S. - USPS to the world, here and online from state to state. Congress is reading all of these letters and editorials.
Let's fix the United States Post Office - to be profitable and once again a place to be employed with pride.

The Letter 3/28/2014 (Name withheld by publisher):
Dear Diane Lilli,
I applaud you for bringing to light the injustice that goes on in the USPS. I am a 30% disabled veteran and I've been carrying mail for almost 16 years. I am currently fighting to get my job back after being removed because of completely fabricated allegations made months after an on the job injury.
As carriers we are held to the strictest of guidelines but yet those holding us accountable are free to act as they see fit with absolutely no repercussions for their actions. I have personally been instructed to return a customer's mail because after being held for 10 days for having a dog gate on their porch they had not picked it up.
Mind you, I was not permitted to notify the customer as to the reason they were not getting mail or even notify them it was being held. I've seen people's outgoing mail sit in the office over the weekend and management turn a blind eye to it.
I firmly believe the public has the right to know what's going on with their mail and where their money is going. Although my case is still pending, I am more than willing to do anything I can to help bring these injustices to the public.
Thank you for your efforts, and for your time.
