Do you have a "special" recipe for your favorite fruit or cream pie? If so, then why not bake it and enter it in the "Summer Pie Baking Contest & Concert" on Wednesday, July 17 at 6:30 pm at the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road, for a chance to win a prize.

The contest is open to adults and teens (age 14 or older) who are residents of Caldwell or West Caldwell. The pies must be made from scratch, including the crust. No canned pie filling or pre-made crust will be accepted. Contestants must submit two pies (both of the same type). One for the judges to sample and one for the audience, who will vote for the "People's Choice Award."

Entry forms and contest rules (available in the Library or on our website @ https://wcplnj.org) must be submitted to the Library by 6:00 pm on Friday, July 12. The pies must be delivered to the Library on Wednesday, July 17 between 4:00 and 6:00 pm.

Following the contest, the multi-talented pianist and vocalist Andrew Schwarz will present "ELTONJOHNish," a concert of the Rock legend's iconic hits at 7:30 pm in the Community Room. Some of the songs that he will perform include "Rocket Man," "I'm Still Standing," "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and "Someone Saved My Life Tonight."

This program is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. To sign-up, call the Library at 973-226-5441 or sign-up online @ https://bccls.libcal.com/event/ 5391292.
