As the cool, crisp autumn weather is upon us, do you tend to crave a large bowl of warm soup? Then perhaps you would be interested in attending a "Souper Bowl Contest" at the West Caldwell Public Library, 30 Clinton Road, on Thursday, October 19 at 6:30 pm.
Chefs from 5 local restaurants will prepare a large pot of their "best" soup and bring it to the Library to share with the community. Three judges will sample the soups and select a winner and the audience will also sample the soups and vote for the "People's Choice Award." Some of the chefs will also serve on a panel discussing tips on making soup, how to make homemade stock, and talk about the soups they made.
This fun community contest is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. To sign-up, call the Library at 973-226-5441 or sign-up online at http://tinyurl.com/WCPL-Events.
