*********Criminal Mischief – Ohlson Avenue – Officers met with the victims that stated an unknown party threw eggs and debris on their front stairs. The second floor tenant stated that they noticed the same items left on the front stairs several days ago but did not report it. Both parties were advised to make a report if an incident similar in nature occurs again. Neither party could provide any timeframe or suspect information at this time. No further information at this time.

*********Fraud – The victim stated that they received a package from Wayfair that they did not order. The package contained a sink faucet valued at $850.00. Upon contacting Wayfair the victim was advised that a credit card was opened in their name at the time of the online order. The victim declined to complete the identity theft database paperwork at this time, but may at a later time.

*********Motor Vehicle Accident – Rutgers Place – Officers responded to the scene of a one (1) vehicle accident resulting in a car hitting a tree and fleeing from the scene. Upon further investigation, Staceyann Eaton, 36, of Nutley, was placed under arrest and transported to Headquarters without incident. She was issued summonses for Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of Accident/Property Damage, Driving While Intoxicated Within 1000 ft of School, Refusal of Breath Samples, No Liability Insurance, and Failure to Exhibit License or Registration. She was advised of her mandatory Court date and released. The Shade Tree Department was advised of the tree damaged in the MVA.

*********Property Damage – Highfield Lane – Dispatch directed patrol to the area regarding a tree and utility wires that fell down. The Nutley Fire Department was on scene assessing the damage. The utility wires that were connected to the front of the residence to the utility pole had completely fallen down. A large branch from a tree (township property) in front of the residence had fallen on top of the wires thus causing them to fall to the groundCaution tape was set around the perimeter of the affected area and Officers remained on scene to secure the affected area to wait for PSE&G arrival.

*******Motor Vehicle Theft – Prospect Street – Patrol units arrived at the scene and spoke with the victim who stated their Jeep Cherokee and wallet were stolen during the night from the driveway. No other vehicles parked on the premises were found to be tampered with. The vehicle was entered into the database as stolen. The victim was advised of the ID Theft File and stated they would respond at a later time to fill out the paperwork, The vehicle was recovered in Newark the following day.

********Motor Vehicle Theft – Satterthwaite Avenue - Officers responded to the area regarding a black Ford Edge that was stolen from the driveway. The victim stated they left the vehicle locked in the driveway and noticed it was no longer in the driveway. The Detective Bureau was advised and responded to the scene to take over the investigation. The Ford Edge and the EZ Pass Tag within were both entered stolen into the database. Officers canvassed the area to ascertain if any other vehicle in the area were tampered with.

The vehicle was recovered in Newark on 11/3 Investigation to continue.

*********Theft – Park Avenue – Headquarters received a report from the victim of a theft who stated that a package was delivered to their home but not received by them. The package was valued at $250.00, and the serial number of the item was placed into the Stolen Article database. There are believed to be no suspects.

********Theft – Coeyman Avenue – Stolen property was reported at the location. The victim stated that a set of metal shelves was taken from their driveway. The victim has no idea who may have stolen the item.

*******Burglary/Criminal Attempt – Ellen Street – Officers responded to the area on the report of a burglary to automobile. The victim stated that during the overnight hours they found their Mercedes Benz was entered and rummaged through. A vehicle was seen stopped in front of the victim’s home with a description of two black men, one with a beard, wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and black tee shirt, with the other male wearing a gray sweatshirt with the hood up, concealing his identity. One of the actors was seen getting into the Mercedes, but it did not start. Detective Bureau was notified and assumed the investigation.

********Theft – Centre Street – Headquarters received a report from a victim who stated they withdrew $4,000 from a Nutley bank, which was placed in a bank envelope in large bills. The victim then went into the bathroom and then left the bank forgetting the money victim responded to Nutley Police to make a Police report.

*******Theft – Franklin Avenue – An employee reported a theft at their place of business. The victim stated they placed their pocketbook in a kitchen locker that was unlocked and when they returned to the locker they observed their coat, that was left covering the pocketbook, was moved to the side. Three (3) wallets that were inside the purse were now outside the pocketbook and money was missing.

**********Resisting Arrest/Eluding – Ernest Street - Headquarters received a call asking for assistance with a party in the area. Officers found a male who was uncooperative. It was found Vincent Rondinella, 29, of Arizona, had an outstanding warrant out of the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, two out of the Township of Nutley, and two out of East Orange. He was charged with Resisting Arrest, Obstructing the Administration of Law, Hindering Apprehension, and Drug Paraphernalia. He was fingerprinted and processed, and transported to the Essex County jail.

*******Theft – Washington Avenue - A local business reported that two black males had just stolen money from the tip jar at the establishment and had left on foot in a southbound direction. Officers spoke with the witness who stated they briefly walked away from the counter and when they returned the two actors were gone along with money from the tip jar. The two males were found at a bus stop in the area and were taken into Headquarters. One of the parties was a juvenile and the other, Isaiah Scott, 18, of Newark, was placed under arrest and charged with Theft of Movable Property. Mr. Scott was also found to be wanted from the Essex County Sheriff’s Office, in Newark, had a warrant out of Glen Ridge, and a no bail warrant out of Bloomfield. He was transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility by Nutley Officers.

*********Theft – Centre Street – Officers responded to a gas station that reported that a patron purchased gas from the attendant in the amount of $29.00 and the debit card was declined. The party offered to go to the bank to get the cash and did not return. The owner and attendant were directed to let Headquarters know if the actor returns with the cash. The debit card and receipt were entered into evidence. The owner was advised of their right to sign a complaint with the Municipal Court.

*******Theft – Princeton Street – Homeowner requested Police assistance to report items missing from their home. Some jewelry was put in a box in a cabinet in the home and was found to be missing after a house party. Detective Bureau notified.
