Burglary / Theft

August 7, 2019 (South Fullerton Avenue): A visitor to the Montclair Public Library reported that $105.00 was removed from his wallet after temporarily leaving it unattended.

August 8, 2019 (Orange Road): An employee of Moso Café reported their business was burglarized on three separate occasions over the course of the past month. In each incident, cash was the reported proceeds. In the last incident, cash, tools, and a stereo were taken.

August 8, 2019 (Maple Avenue): A silver colored Talon 3 bicycle worth approximately $540.00 was stolen from Glenfield Park. The bicycle was left unlocked against a bench.

August 12, 2019 (Valley Road): An employee of Zoe gift shop reported an unknown female attempted to steal numerous items from her store. When confronted, she fled without any of the items. The suspect was described as a light skinned female, 30-40 years of age, petite, brown hair approximately 4"11 in height wearing a navy blue jumper, beige sandals, black purse and carrying a multicolored reusable shopping bag.

Vandalism

August 12, 2019 (Forest Street): A resident of Forest Street reported that the front passenger side window to his Nissan Altima was shattered during the overnight hours. The vehicle was locked and nothing was reported missing.

August 12, 2019 (Park Street): Two vehicles were vandalized during the overnight hours. The owners reported arriving at their respective cars in the morning and found an unknown person damaged the cars by scratching them with an unknown object.

Arrest

August 6, 2019 (Walnut Crescent): Mr. Mark Labrada (25 year old male from Bloomfield) was arrested and charged with Burglary and Theft stemming from a Theft from Motor Vehicle Investigation.

August 6, 2019 (Pine Street): Mr. Justin Davis (23 year old, Montclair) was arrested on an open warrant out of Montclair.
