Recovered Stolen Motor Vehicle

4/18/2018; (Pine Street). Patrol responded to a Pine Street address on a parking complaint. The on scene investigation revealed that the involved vehicle, which was unoccupied at the time, was stolen out of Jersey City, NJ.

Theft

4/19/2018; (South Park Street). A South Park Street business reported that a female entered the store and stole a make-up bag from the front counter. She is described as a black female, 30-40 years old, 5’10” in height, wearing a head scarf and a light colored jacket.

MV Theft

4/23/2018; (South Fullerton Avenue). A white male, 25-35 years old, with dark hair, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with red accents, black pants, and white sneakers entered the church and removed the keys to a van. This subject then stole the van from the parking lot and was last seen fleeing east on Union Street.

Arrests:

4/17/2018; (Maple Avenue). A motor vehicle with five occupants was stopped on Maple Avenue. While speaking with the passengers, a loaded handgun was observed in the rear passenger seat. One of the vehicle’s passengers attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended after a foot pursuit. David Boger, a 19-year-old male from Newark, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of Hollow-Point bullets, Resisting Arrest by Flight, and Possession of Marijuana. Trevon Smith, an 18-year-old from Newark, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of Hollow-Point bullets, and Contempt of Court (No Bail Warrant out of East Orange). Naquil Wright, an 18-year-old male from Montclair, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of Hollow-point bullets. Dayvon Savage, a 20-year-old from Newark, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of Hollow-point bullets. A juvenile from Montclair was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a Handgun, Possession of Hollow-Point bullets. All adults were transported to the Essex County Jail. The juvenile was remanded to the Essex County Youth House.

4/18/2018; (Bloomfield Avenue) Angelo Valle, a 45-year-old Newark resident, was arrested on a $1500 warrant out of Montclair

4/21/2018; (Elm Street) Azim Muhammadi, 22-year-old from Montclair, was arrested on a No Bail Warrant out of East Orange
