In conjunction with the West Caldwell Public Library's Adult Summer Reading Series, based on the theme "Build a Better World," a Sewing Marathon Workshop will be held on Thursday, August 17 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in the Community Room. Adults and teens will be making Little Dresses for Africa using the Library's Singer sewing machines that were generously donated by the Rotary Club of the Caldwells. Simple dresses, based on patterns, will be made out of fabric and will then be donated to vulnerable young girls in need throughout Africa. Sewing skills are not necessary and fabric needs to be cut. If your interested in participating in this charitable sewing project for an hour or so, please contact the Library at 973-226-5441 or sign-up online at http://tinyurl.com/WCPL-Events.
