Incumbent Democrat Cory Booker Wins Senate Seat in NJ & Marijuana is LEGAL

In New Jersey as expected, incumbent Cory Booker, who is regarded by many to be a future president,  won his second Senate seat. Booker thanked New Jersey, saying, "New Jersey, I'm once again humbled by the faith you've placed in me. Thank you for standing with me and allowing me the honor of representing my home state in Washington. Our work is far from finished."

Also in New Jersey, marijuana will now be legal for recreational purposes and is expected to bring in over $126 million per year to the Garden State.
 
Another question on the ballot passed for veterans, so military veterans who served during times of peace are now eligible to receive a special property tax deduction.
 
A third vote to wait for any redistricing until after the Census is complete also passed.
 
In Essex County, Incumbent Chris Durkin was again relected as the County Clerk. Below is the list of Essex County Board of Freeholders who also were elected:
