GET IN SHAPE AND “BURN IT UP” WITH 2 NEW RECREATION FITNESS PROGRAMS THIS WINTER IN NUTLEY

Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci and the Department of Parks and Recreation are pleased to announce the addition of “Burn It Up” with Sue Quigley.

Join us for this high energy fitness class that caters to everyone! It combines athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. Help improve your overall fitness, tone your body, and improve coordination, strength, agility and endurance. This cardio-strength combination class alternates strength exercises to sculpt every major muscle group, including your core, with easy-to-follow step moves designed to maximize caloric expenditure. Hand weights will also be incorporated into this workout. Participants should bring light/heavy weights, a mat and a water bottle.

Burn It Up will be held at the Recreation Annex Building located 65 Bloomfield Ave. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Please see printable calendar for a full list of dates. The fee for this program is $50.00 for an 8 week session, 2 nights a week.



RISE AND SHINE FITNESS 6:00 a.m.

Calling all morning fitness fanatics! RISE AND SHINE FITNESS is sure to get your day going with some positive energy. This class will be instructed by Sue Quigley and will be offered Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. All classes will be held at the Recreation Annex Building located at 65 Bloomfield Ave. This class will consist of a high energy workout combining cardio, strength and core. Bring light and heavy weights and a towel. The fee for this program is $50.00 per person for an 8 week session, 2 nights a week. Please see printable flyer for detailed information.
