Flames are roaring on the top floor - and all floors - of the home on the corner of Valley Road and Walnut Street, as the firefighters are trying to squelch the intense flames.

Cold winds and snow/sleet are hampering the firefighters, as they wage war against the blooming flames, and the ground is freezing as the hoses aims water at the stubborn fire.

One firefighter was scene taken to an ambulance, but was eventually wheeled out to another unit to most likely be taken to the hospital.

The winds are blowing cinders, smoke and ash across Valley Road and the 2 Montclair engines on the scene are working non-stop and blasting the house, including the roof (or what's left of it) with water.

This is a live scene and no official word is ready to share.

At this time, 2 engines are on site and Valley Road is closed between Claremont and Chestnut.

As to whether or not anyone was in the house when the fire erupted, investigators will need to search once the fire dies down.

For now, it is raging.

Updates to follow.
