The Tour de Montclair, Montclair’s iconic community bike ride, will return this year at 10AM Sunday, October 1. The Tour begin and end at the Crane Park Market, located at Glenridge and Greenwood Avenues in Montclair.

The Tour de Montclair, a family-friendly bike ride with 6- and 12- mile options, begins on Midland Avenue and takes riders through the 4 wards of Montclair, highlighting parts of town not easily seen by car. Riders will cruise by the Presby Memorial Iris Gardens and Nishuane Park, pass the Montclair Art Museum and much more. Riders are invited to enjoy the sights at their own pace: fast, slow or anywhere in between! The ride ends back at the Crane Park Market where riders will be able to enjoy live music.

Registration for the Tour is available online at bikewalkmontclair.org and on the day of the event from 9AM-9:45AM. Riders will start lining up at 9:30AM and the Tour will officially begin at 10AM.

Pre-registration for the 2017 Tour de Montclair is strongly suggested at www.bikewalkmontclair.org. Registration includes a FREE branded performance t-shirt, a branded string sac, admission to the Tour *and* a 1-year membership to Bike&Walk Montclair.

“The Tour de Montclair is a great celebration of everything we love about this community,” said Israel Cronk, Executive Director of the Montclair Center BID. “Come and join the Open Streets celebration following the Tour with food, activities and music!”

“Bike&Walk Montclair is so proud of the Tour de Montclair, which we’ve been organizing for over 12 years,” said Jean Lyons, VP of the Board of Directors, Bike&Walk Montclair. “When you ride in the Tour you get to see the four wards of Montclair by bike and notice nooks and crannies, gardens and homes, stores and restaurants you’d never see whizzing by in a car!”
