Though Caldwell and Nutley are offering Small business Saturday deals, which are sponsored by billion-dollar company AMEX, in Montclair the local BID has come up with a great idea to pump up your shopping.
This is "Small Business Saturday with a twist".
Called Festive Saturday: Shop for a Cause day, merchants have chosen charities close to their heart to support for the day. They are doing so by either creating a sale around donations or acting as a hub for donations for the Saturday. The charities range from local organizations like Toni's Kitchen or The Human Needs Food Pantry to international charities like World Cares or Red Cross' Hurricane Typhoon Haiyan Relief Fund.

While celebrating Shop for a Cause Day, we will also be celebrating Small Business Saturday!! This year the Montclair Center BID has signed up to "Rally your Neighborhood" and in doing so has grabbed Amex's attention. 250 metered parking spaces in Montclair Center will be free all Saturday! In addition, the BID Ambassadors will also be handing out Shop Small Goody Bags to the first 400 visitors and many stores will be running a Small Business Saturday Special.
