Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci is pleased to announce registration is now open for the fall session of the Mad Science Program. Mad Science is open to Nutley youngsters in grades 2 through 5. This program is sure to spark imaginative learning when school is out! These hands-on, one-hour science programs are themed around a particular area of science and include such topics as rocketry, magnets, polymers and even the science of toys.
”Community response to this program has been outstanding” stated Commissioner Tucci. Children engage in exciting hands-on activities, watch spectacular demonstrations, participate in inquiry-based discussions and take home things that they have made themselves like model rockets, periscopes, Mad Science putty and more. Mad Science after-school programs offer children a chance to see just how cool science can be!
This 5 week program will be held on Tuesdays beginning September 16, 2014 and will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The fee for this program is $50.00 per child. Online registration is available for this program at www.nutleynj.org or registrations may be submitted to the Nutley Recreation Department located at 44 Park Ave. Please note that limited space is available and applications will be accepted on a first come basis.
