-Members of each team take turns walking around the track

-Food, games and activities provide entertainment and build camaraderie

-Family-friendly environment for the entire community

In a packed room filled with people touched by cancer, there was laughter, inspiration and plenty of great food served up by local Ralph's in Nutley.
Nutley Relay for Life hosted its official kick off last night, and celebrated its 10th year as being one of the leading towns to raise funds and awareness for this annual American Cancer Society non-profit event.
Last year alone, Nutley Relay for Life raised $123,000, and earned a prestigious award as being one of the top ten
fundraisers among both New York and New Jersey.
Turns out everyone present knows someone with cancer, or is a cancer survivor.
The American Cancer Society reports"In 2016, there will be an estimated 1,685,210 new cancer cases diagnosed and 595,690 cancer deaths in the U.S."
With cancer hitting millions, and hitting families across the globe, cancer, as always, is personal.
Last night, the call to arms was clear: join Relay for Life and help save lives.
In Nutley, this year's goal is to hit the $10 million mark - and chip away yet further to eradicate this dreadful disease that has taken the lives of so many loved ones.
