NUTLEY LITTLE THEATRE TO OPEN ‘ART OF MURDER’ ON FRIDAY, APRIL 10

Written by Joe DiPietro, the author of “Over the River and Through the Woods,” “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change,” and Tony Award-winning “Memphis,” this play won the 2000 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play. “Hilarious, suspenseful, surprising and dazzling in every way,” one critic said. DiPietro’s blend of comedy with his acute appreciation of the mystery genre will keep you guessing and laughing at every turn.

Evening performances will be on April 10, 11, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25. Matinee performances are on April 12, 19 and 25. Linda Ribaudo of Bloomfield is the director. The opening performance on April 10 is for the benefit of Franklin Reformed Church, Nutley.

The cast includes Bill Schineller of Mountain Lakes, Brittany Haydock of Glen Ridge, Nelson Valentin of Bloomfield, and Wendy Tiburcio of Montclair. Stage manager is Jim Demetroulakos of Nutley. Sound design is by Joe Ribaudo of Bloomfield and lighting design is by Andrew DeSimon of Montclair. Don Sheffrin of Hoboken is assistant stage manager. Jason Burford of Bridgewater is fight choreographer.
