Steve Adubato, PhD and Kevin Rendino (right), both of Montclair, were recently honored as “Exceptional People Impacting our Communities” by the Institute for Nursing. Fourteen “EPIC” awards were presented to business and community leaders who impact the health of New Jersey communities and the profession of nursing.

Steve Adubato, PhD, is a broadcaster, author, motivational speaker and distinguished visiting professor at NYU, NJIT and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Dr. Adubato is an Emmy Award-winning anchor for Caucus: New Jersey, New Jersey Capitol Report, and One-on-One with Steve Adubato airing on the region’s PBS stations, Thirteen/WNET and NJTV, and on FiOS1. Steve regularly appears on the Today show, CNN, FOX, AM970 and NPR as a media and political analyst. He is the author of Make the Connection, What Were They Thinking?, Speak from the Heart and You Are the Brand. His newest book is entitled Lessons in Leadership.

Kevin Rendino is the President/CEO of RGJ Capital, LLC, a fund focused on investing in securities that are undervalued relative to the future true worth of their underlying assets. Since 2014 he has been the Board Chair of Partners for Health. The Foundation has awarded grants totaling more than $8 million to address hunger and homelessness; policy and environmental changes that promote healthy people in healthy places; aging in our communities; and mental health.
