From the Montclair Cooperative School:

Montclair Cooperative School is a unique, nonprofit cooperative school providing a quality education to a diverse group of students from nursery through eighth grade.

For nearly 50 years, we have filled the need for a hands-on approach to learning in which teaching is tailored to each student who is evaluated not by how intelligent they are, but by how they are intelligent. Our students experience a hands-on curriculum that integrates rigorous academics, social education and creative expression.

Here is our mission:

The Montclair Cooperative School is a community of students, teachers, and parents who are dedicated to creating a diverse and nurturing environment where children flourish intellectually and develop exceptional social skills along with a deep sense of community responsibility.
