First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell to Hold Charitable Auction

A beach house at the Jersey Shore, a weekend in New York City, or daylong fishing trip are just some of the items available for auction at this year’s “A Second Bright Night to Make a Difference” charitable auction being held by The First Presbyterian Church at Caldwell.

The auction, which includes a silent auction, cocktails and appetizers, and a number of Tricky Tray baskets, will be held on Saturday, April 18. Doors open at 7 p.m. and participants must be 21 and over. The church is located at 326 Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit charitable programs supported by the church—including the St. John’s Food Kitchen in Newark, Our Lady of the Valley Soup Kitchen, Homeless Bus Inc., Urban Promise in Camden, and the Strengthen our Sisters women’s shelter, among others.

Doors open at 7 p.m. for appetizers and beverages. Visitors can bid on silent auction items and put in tickets for Tricky Tray baskets. Silent auction items will range from paintings, professional services, jewelry and crystal. The live auction begins at 8 p.m. for higher-profile items, including boating trips, vacation home rentals
