The Montclair Police Department would like to announce that they will be holding a “Mitten Tree” charity event from January 9, 2017 until February 1, 2017. This event will consist of having a “tree” located in the lobby of police headquarters for officers and residents to drop off and donate scarves, mittens and hats. These items will then be donated to the MESH (Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless) for those in need during this cold time of year. Donations can be either new or gently used.
Those interested in taking part can drop off these items at any time to 647 Bloomfield Avenue, Montclair Police Headquarters.
