Andrea Nemeth of Caldwell, NJ, has been appointed Campus Operating Officer (COO) at Berkeley College in Clifton, NJ. In this role, Ms. Nemeth, a Berkeley College alumna, will oversee day-to-day operations at the location that specializes in Health Studies. She also will monitor financial performance and policies related to personnel, including training and professional development programs, to ensure outstanding career-focused education in some of today’s most in-demand healthcare professions.
“Ms. Nemeth brings years of extensive experience in business management, financial analysis, and accounting as well as strong leadership and cross-cultural communication skills to her new position,” said Robert F. Herzog, Berkeley College Senior Vice President, Finance and Administration. “In addition, her leadership roles in a number of professional and nonprofit organizations will benefit the College as it continues to promote students and community initiatives throughout New Jersey and New York.”
Most recently, Ms. Nemeth held the position of Assistant Campus Operating Officer at Berkeley College in Midtown Manhattan, NY. Previous positions included Director of Operations of SYNERGY HomeCare in Woodland Park and Associate Finance Manager of Unilever in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Additionally, she serves on the Salvation Army Advisory Board in Montclair, and is a member of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners. Ms. Nemeth is an active volunteer in Alpha Kappa Psi, an international co-ed professional business fraternity. She has the distinction of being the first female in the history of the fraternity to be elected as President in 2007.
Ms. Nemeth holds an AAS in Accounting from Berkeley College; a BS in Accounting and German from Montclair State University; and an MBA in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany. She was a recipient of the Berkeley College New Jersey Alumni of the Year Award in 2003.
Berkeley College in Clifton offers Health Sciences, Medical Assistant and Surgical Technology Associate degree programs. Students also can enroll in Medical Assistant, Multi-Level Patient Care Technician, Practical Nurse or Surgical Processing Technician certification programs. In addition to classroom learning, students gain hands-on clinical experience and assistance with job placement and career advancement.
