6,000 New Jersey Homes Still Without Power - 600,000 Plus Okay

Posted

Today, a week after the fall storm blew widespread damage across the North East, about 6,000 home are still without power.

This represents about 1 percent of the total outages, which were originally estimated to be at about 610,000.

In some areas, downed wires scattered in individual neighborhoods, not in large clumps, have stalled workers from completing the job to restore power 100 percent.

But other spots remain dark in spite of the utility companies arriving on the scene to fix the issues.

Today should be the last day people endure power outages. The storm was not only massive, but also tricky for PSE&G AND JCP&L.

Many residents and government officials are upset that they could not get clear information as to when particular areas would have power restored.
