Calling all motivated and inspirational community members! Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci announces the 13th Annual Relay For Life of Nutley coming spring 2019. We need your help to make this our biggest fundraising year yet!.

Planning is in full gear for the Relay For Life of Nutley hosted by the Nutley Department of Parks and Recreation. Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci is proud to announce that Nutley has raised over $1,236,326.00 in our 12 years of hosting the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life Event. This event is a spectacular display of how our community continuously comes together to fight for a cause we truly believe in. “Each year we exceed our expectations and 2019 promises to be our biggest year yet with your help” stated Commissioner Mauro G. Tucci.

An event as grand as this takes months of planning, hard work and dedication. We would like to invite the community to join us for our event leadership meeting on November 5, 2018 at the Nutley Parks and Recreation Department, Nutrition Room. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will supply those interested with all of the information needed to become part of Nutley’s 13th Annual Relay for Life Committee.

The American Cancer Society has many ways for students to be involved with the Relay For Life movement too! Not only will this event spread cancer awareness and education among our students but it is a great tool for Junior High as well as High School students to gain needed community service hours to meet their requirements. It’s an educational opportunity to learn more about cancer, early detection, screening and prevention. It’s a way for students to make a positive difference in the lives of people living with cancer.

Don’t wait to be part of an event that will touch the lives of so many individuals now and for years to come! Join us on Monday, November 5th and help save lives, give hope, and empower people through the American Cancer Society and its lifesaving mission.

For further information or to join the committee, please contact Crissy or Linda at the Recreation Department 973-284-4966, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or visit www.relayforlife.org/nutleynj to register today!
