Join us in celebrating Women's History Month as Women in Business. This year’s theme is NEVERTHELESS SHE PERSISTED: “Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.” We are excited to bring an empowering and impactful event! Jersey City Farmers' Market Managers Meet & Greet (Monday, March 19, 2018, 6-8pm)

Farmers’ Markets Managers Welcome Vendors for the 2018 Season. We are looking for prepared and non-prepared food vendors that produce or source food within 300 miles of Jersey City. Meet our Jersey City Farmers’ Market Managers to learn everything on becoming a vendor at any of the nine Farmers' Markets citywide. Find out about:

Jersey City Small Business Services presents this workshop series by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at New Jersey City University (NJCU) for aspiring entrepreneurs that want to open the business of their dreams and get out of the 9 to 5 grind! Flyer attached.

1. STRUP 101: How to Start a Business (March 20,2018, 12-2pm)

This workshop is directed to the entrepreneur at the conceptual stage. We will discuss the personal and business assessment process, basics of a business plan, how to finance the business, an introduction on different business entities, and the certifications that can help businesses grow.

2. STRUP 102: How to Write a Winning Business Plan (March 27, 2018, 12-2pm)

This course will take you through the step-by-step process of developing a business plan. Although business plans are very specific to each particular business, we will provide basic instruction on the universal core elements.

3. MAR 101: Basics of Marketing/Sales (April 10,2018, 12-2pm)

In this introductory workshop, entrepreneurs will learn the basics of how to do market research, create a pricing

strategy, understand their target markets, efficient engagement, and how to promote and sell.
